Seal watching in North Pembrokeshire

As Pembrokeshire is known for some of the best coastline in the world, it is also home to some of the best marine life in Wales, including seals and porpoises.  West Wales is home for around 5,000 Atlantic grey seals and their pups and they can be seen from September through to December.

Where to look  for seals when staying at Yr Hafan holiday cottages:
At the foot of the cliffs around Moylegrove, Strumble Head, St Davids and Cemaes head there are secluded beaches where the seals feel safe enough to give birth to their pups. If you walk along the coast path in season, and keep an eye out, you will see bobbing heads, seals beached on pebble banks, sunbathing on rocks or even little white pups heading towards the sea for their first swim closely watched by Mum….
